GN Comics

GN stands for my first and last name, Gail Nobles. I made it into a logo and symbol for Christian cartoons that I created. I created a website titled "Little Benny and Friends", and then decided to create a blog titled GN Comics. It's not just all about my comics, but the blog is sometimes about works by others. Sometimes I post info on the blog that I think will help others that are interested in the comic business.

I use to dream about doing my own comics. The art of DC and Marvel has really inspired me. The comic business doesn't look like easy work. Artist put a lot of time into their comics. They draw and paint. However, there is more to it than meets the eye. The artist have to know what colors to use, brushes, and ink. They have to know how to draw backgrounds, and they take the time to give the viewers different views of the characters. Not only that, they need to know how to tell a good story through pictures. The artist have to make the characters look and act right.

When it comes to creating my own comics, I'm no professional. I'm just an ametuer. On the internet, I am free to create the way that I want to and experiment. I started out sketching my cartoons and then scanning them to Photo Paint. Then I got involved with Poser because I love to make my characters look real. All the same, I still like to draw. The animation program just makes me create quicker, and it broadens my mind how my characters would look if they were real. So, the next time I draw by hand, I will be able to have something to look at. The characters I create from Poser will be a guide and the characters can pose for me.

My comics are now on greeting cards at Zazzle and on my websites and blogs. Later on, as my art grows, I might decide to make a comic book. How far my ideas will go? I don't know. It's possible to create a comic book and never make a sell. People may love your work, and you may get wonderful comments, but people will not always buy. Everything is fast and easy with the internet in this day and time, and things still are slow and not easy at the same time.
